        There are many type of data that can be input to the computer.

-characters/text
-images
-audio
-video

        Every data that user put in to a computer will be recognizes in the form of binary numbers.

        Computer processor is a very tiny intergrated circuit that has a lot of transistors.

        Transistor consists of two states. ON and OFF. To simplify it, ON for digit 1 and 

OFF for digit 0.

The switch button Consists of digit 1 and digit 0.

     A single character = 8 bits ( binary digit )

  8 bits = 1 byte

Examples:-

"COMPUTER"

1- How many characters based on "COMPUTERS"?

8 Characters

2- How many bytes based on "COMPUTER"? 

8 Bytes

3- How many bits based on "COMPUTER"? 

8×8 = 64 Bits
